11/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ash was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Ash was curled up behind her litter box at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ash squints at the assessor with her ears bent flat and presses her body up against the kennel wall. Reaction to cage door opening: Ash remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Ash has wide eyes focused on the assessor and is very tense when touched. She allows petting on her head with a slow approach, lip licks and slowly moves away when she’s had enough. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Ash tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
