SAFE 11/22/17 VIDEO & NEW PHOTO! Sweet ANGELICA (Cutie) was rescued from a 4th floor of a building that was on fire!! She has a perianal wound, and is coughing from the ordeal. She needs further medical eval in addition to some dental follow up to make sure she is ok. Can someone give this pretty girl a new home?
DVM Intake Exam
Estimated age: 3-8 years based on dentition and overall appearance
Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned neg on intake, MC placed
History : Rescued from the 4th floor of a building that was on fire
Subjective: Alert, occasional coughing
Observed Behavior – Quiet, alert, calm for exam but ducks away from exam of ears and perianal region
Evidence of Trauma seen – Wound in perianal region
BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 6/9
EENT: Mild black granular discharge AU. Pt ducks away from ear exam. Left ear is ear tipped. Eyes clear, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: Moderate tartar and gingivitis especially on PMs
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA Occasional cough. Eupnic. Lungs quiet.
ABD: Moderately distended, soft and slightly doughy, no discrete masses palpated.
U/G: Female, ear tipped so presumed spayed
MSI: Ulcerated region centered on the anus, extending dorsally along the tail for 4 cm and ventrally to the vulva and for about 1 cm beyond that. Skin is erythematous, crusty, excoriated and dry. Laterally the lesion extends 1 cm in each direction. Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, otherwise healthy hair coat.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: See above for description of perianal region. Rectal not performed.

3. Distended abdomen
4. Dental disease
5. Likely ear mites
1. CBC/chemistry pulled – running now
2. Recommend sedation for chest and abd rads, better exam of perianal wounds, ear cleaning and Tresaderm
3. Recommend dental cleaning in the near future
