ANDY – A1067578
Safe - 3-29-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
**SAFE 03/29/16** SENIOR SUPERSTAR! Meet ANDY, a gorgeous senior gent with a perfect AVERAGE rating who was brought to the ACC for a couple of reasons. For one thing, his former owner is experiencing health issues, and for another, she is moving to somewhere that cats are unwelcome. Neither of those reasons can remotely justify the death of this beautiful, GOOD BOY tomorrow, but that is exactly what will happen unless a foster/adopter can be found for ANDY tonight!

03/14/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
03/14/16 14:07 BASIC INFO Andy is a geriatric male DSH cat. His owner got him from his previous owner several years ago. She can’t keep him because she’s moving and due to her declining health. SOCIALIZATION Andy is shy with new people. He wasn’t around children or pets in his most recent home. He never bit/scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Andy’s owner didn’t interact with him. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Andy’s owner describes him as shy, independent, and low energy. He spends a lot of time hiding behind or in things. He spends time near his family and is relaxed around them, but they don’t approach each other. He ate dry cat food. He’s littertrained, used an uncovered litterbox with clumping litter, and didn’t have accidents. INTAKE Andy was soft bodied while lying in his carrier, facing the front. He was tense but tolerant while I picked him up, scanned him (-), collared him, positioned him for new pictures, and put him in a new carrier. He sometimes tried to walk off of the backdrop but allowed me to reposition him. He didn’t resist or vocalize.
