ERICHMENT NOTES:
4/19/17- Curled up asleep in litter box, woke when door opened. Became very tense, eyes dilated, started lip licking. Flinched when touched, then held immobile, continued lip licking. Sprayed feliway.
4/20/17- In litter box, tense, eyes dilated. Startled badly when door opened, jumped up and fled to main compartment, then froze. Started lip licking and grumbling.
EVALUATION:
Cage Condition: No change
Reaction to assessor: The cat looks neutral, crouched position on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor.
Reaction to cage door opening: The cat remains immobile in place, alert with eyes wide open.
Reaction to touch: The cat seems shy and slowly leans into the assessor’s hand, rolls over but unsure with her surroundings.
Reaction to being picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average
Alexis interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Still behind litter box, stiff posture, eyes dilated. Put ears sideways when spoken to. Stood, hissed, and retreated when door opened, pressed against back wall. Tolerated pets, started lip licking. Sprayed feliway.

Curled up tight behind litter box, eyes dilated, stiff posture. Hissed and sat up when door opened. Pressed to back wall, lip licking. Tolerated pets, but held completely immobile. Sprayed feliway.
5/4/17
Seems to be deteriorating. Still curled up behind litter box, very tense, eyes dilated. Flattened ears when door opened, eyes became even more dilated, began growling quietly. Sat up and pressed against back wall when attempted touch. Seems terrified. Sprayed feliway.
5/8/17
Still in cubby, sitting up behind litter box, eyes dilated. Started lip licking when door opened. Allowed, then slightly leaned and arched into pets from assess-a-hand. Grumbled when offered real hand. Showed no interest in treats, never moved from back of cubby. Sprayed feliway.
