History : stray
Subjective: BAR, eyes sealed shut with crust, ate very well when offered food
Observed Behavior –
Evidence of Cruelty seen – None
Evidence of Trauma seen – None
Objective
EENT: Eyes sealed shut with purulent crust OU, purulent bilateral nasal discharge
Oral Exam: negative oral exam, deciduous dentition present
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic. Sneezing
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Male
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, dull full hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: normal externally
Assessment:
4wk MI DSH
URI
Severe conjunctivitis OU
Underage/underweight
Plan:
FVRCP
Frontline
Pyrantel + ponazuril
FELV/FIV: negative
20ml SQF LRS
Eyes cleaned and opened
Erythromycin BID OU x 10 days and doxycycline 0.1ml PO q24 x 10 days
NH placement
Prognosis: good with treatment
SURGERY:
Temporary waiver due to URI and underage/underweight
