Basic Information:
Adeeb is a spayed orange tabby and white DSH with no known medical conditions Owner has had Adeeb for 9 years and is surrendering because they are moving.
Socialization:
Around strangers Adeeb is friendly, and plays gently with adults. Adeeb has never been around children or dogs so it is unknown how she will react to being around them. Adeeb has lived with several other cats who she was relaxed and affectionate around and plays gently with.
Behavior:
Adeeb has never bitten another person or animal and showed no behavior issues at home. In car rides Adeeb is very vocal and will cry. Adeeb previous owner did not attempted to give her a bath in the pas or trim her nails. Adeeb enjoys having her coat brushed and is ok with being picked up/held . Adeeb isnt bothered when being placed in a carrier and doesn’t mind being disturbed while resting/sleeping.
For a New Family to know:
Adeeb is described as friendly and quiet, with a medium activity level. When at home Adeeb will follow you around seeking attention. Adeeb enjoys playing with mouse toys. Adeeb was kept indoors only and was fed fancy feast wet and dry food. Adeeb is litter box trained and used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Adeeb was not given a scratching post and does not scratch on anything in the house. When its time for bed adeeb likes to sleep in the bed with you.
Intake Behavior:
Adeeb was talkative but a little shy during intake. She allowed to be scanned and collared with no problem . Adeeb allowed all handling
MEDICAL:
04/05/17
History – Brought in by owner with several other cats. No medical concerns noted. FS, approx 12 yrs. Microchip scan neg.
Subjective
Observed Behavior – Shy, hisses when approached but then allows petting. Allowed all handling.
Evidence of Cruelty seen – No.
Evidence of Trauma seen – No
Objective: BARH. mm= lt pink, moist, CRT<2 s. P = 180 R = 20 BCS = 5/9
ORAL: Mod. to severe calculus and gingivitis.
EENT: No oculonasal discharge. Mild iris atrophy OU.
PLN: No enlargements noted..
H/L: NSR, NMA. Lungs clear, eupneic.
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated.
U/G: Female, spayed.
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities.
A: Dental disease. Otherwise apparently healthy geriatric cat. Age est 12 yrs.
P: Monitor while at BACC.
Rec. dental cleaning when placed.
Good prognosis.
