07/31/2017 AT RISK MEMO
A1119491 Ziggy – Experience determination; Ziggy displays fearful behaviors and tends to keep her distance when approached for interaction. She lowers her head and tenses up her body when pet, seeming uncomfortable. She is easily coaxed with food and doesn’t seem to mind attention while she’s eating, but will retreat after she’s done and still seems unsure of human interaction.

07/23/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/23/17 15:59 P0967889 Michelle Krolikowski kept A1119489, A1119490, A1119491, A1119492, mainly in the carrier because her dog did not get along with the kittens. She also stated that two allowed handling but the other two would hiss and swat at times. I could not get a detailed profile because she did not socialize the kittens that much.

07/26/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
KNOWN HISTORY: Ziggy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Hissing. Afraid of the plastic hand. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Ziggy was pressed up against the back wall of the cubby. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ziggy’s ears rotate, she makes eye contact but doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Ziggy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Ziggy tenses up and presses her body against the back of the cubby. She closes her eyes then lowers her head when touched along her body. She seems uncomfortable with a lot of attention and slowly turns away when she’s had enough. Reaction to being picked up: Ziggy was a bit tense when picked up but allows all handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Timid POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: Kitten socialization – Ziggy is a young cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. She may be apprehensive of people, but the behavior team believes she has potential to warm up to people. Kittens less than 8 weeks of age can be socialized by almost anyone; however, kittens between 2-4 months may require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people. Please speak to an adoption counselor to learn more about socialization techniques. RECOMMENDATIONS: Experienced cat parent – Ziggy may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents
