Estimated age: 6 weeks
Microchip noted on Intake? no
History : Stray kitten found alone.
Subjective: Kitten is BARH, very vocal
Observed Behavior – kitten is very bright, active, vocal in cage. allows to be handled, but seems a bit more skittish out of cage. very curious and exploring environment. hissed once.
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
Objective
T = NA P = wnl R = wnl BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: healthy deciduous dentition
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: wnl
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: not performed
Assessment: underage/underweight (otherwise apparently healthy)
Plan: Recommend foster until 2+ lbs or rescue.
Prognosis:
Excellent
SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to underage/underweight
