*** SAFE 07/12/16 ***PURRING SO LOUDLY THEY HAD TROUBLE LISTENING TO HER HEART…..This creamsicle senior is so happy at not being on the street that she is purring and eating up a storm…..Little ZELDA is 12 and dirty and underweight. She has vision issues and some breathing issues. Both of which need to be evaluated by a competent vet…..Her finder had the decency to take her off the street but could not keep her due to financial issues and having 2 dogs of their own. Unfortunately, ZELDA ended up here. BUT SHE HAS THE CHANCE NOW TO BE SEEN BY A SPECIAL PURRSON WHO CAN SNATCH HER UP AND GIVE HER THE CARE AND HOME SHE DESERVES…..ZELDA is BEGINNER rated and totally AFFECTIONATE!! 07/10/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Zelda was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Her finder found her lying in their yard and appeared to be ill. She had irregular breathing upon intake, but allowed all handling. She was friendly during her initial medical exam and can be heard purring loudly. Reaction to assessor: Zelda was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Zelda gets up immediately and rubs on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Zelda remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Zelda lightly head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. She was very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Zelda remains calm and allows all handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Zelda interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
