07/08/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Skittish MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 7/6/17- Observed Behavior – unsocialized, will flee; allows handling once out of carrier ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/6/17 In den, hunched at back, eyes dilated. Held completely immobile when pet, no response at all. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Yodel remains tense, crouched position hiding in the cat den. Reaction to cage door opening: Yodel remains stiff body, head pulled in, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Yodel hisses at the assessor’s hand, maintains distance, but when touched she shows no interest. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Yodel may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
