WUZZLE – A1067684
Safe - 4-7-2016 Brooklyn
***SAFE 04/07/2016***RIDICULOUS! Charming WUZZLE was adopted from the ACC and then gifted to another family, which isn’t really all that cool. Then, he lived with kids who ranged from 1-11 years of age, who PULLED HIS TAIL and generally made him feel like a hunted animal. Then, the people he’d been gifted to brought him to the ACC when life got complicated because, as they say, “easy come, easy go,” who even knows if they had wanted a cat in the first place? Tonight, WUZZLE and his EXPNOCHILD rating have made the euth list. That rating should actually be, “exp-no-tail-pulling-monster-children,” right? Please do NOT let this good, neutered boy be lost to the bloodthirsty ACC, find a FOSTER or ADOPTER for Wuzzle, tonight!

04/04/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Wuzzle’s previous owner reports he is friendly with adults, but doesn’t play with them. He has lived with four children and was very tolerant of them, but was fearful because of how they interacted with him. He would hiss on occasion because they would pull on his tail; but no other aggressive behaviors were displayed. Because of this experience, he would hide in fear when younger children are around. He dislikes being picked up and held, and will run away or growl. He was described as a friendly cat with a medium activity level. He usually follows the owner around at home and plays with toy balls. Reaction to Assessor: Wuzzle was calm and relaxed, lying down upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Wuzzle looks around and sniffs. Reaction to cage door opening: Wuzzle remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Wuzzle was a bit hesitant and ducks his head, and makes a brief chirping sound when touched but will shift away and focus on the assessor’s hand. He appears unsure; making a quick chirp sound each time he is touched, but will quickly retreat from contact and lip licks. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Wuzzle tolerates brief petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center and from the information provided to us by the previous owner, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
