She was found with some wounds and skin rashes. Woody is probably not feeling her best and the shelter environment is stressing her out. I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/06/2017 from NY 10002, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

08/06/17 11:59 During Intake: Woody had a relaxed body and ears. He tolerated handling and allowed collaring. He was not interested in going back inside the carrier. His tail was flicking. He was very quiet and eyes were dilated.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Skittish EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Woody remains tense, hiding in the cat den during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Woody remains in place, hisses and growls, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Woody does not allow the touch, hisses and spits at the assessor’s hand. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Woody is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
