08/18/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Wonton was hiding in the cat den when I approached the cage When spoken quietly: Wonton continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: Wonton stares at the assessor through the holes Reaction to touch: Wonton growls, hisses, strikes and does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: NewHope Wonton was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Wonton was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Wonton may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
