He does not allow petting and will show strong distance-increasing behaviors when interaction is attempted.

05/31/17 11:09 WInter Wigs is a 2 year old neutered male domestic shorthair. He was given as gift to the family and the reason his family is surrendering him is due to severe allergies and asthma. The owners are not aware of any injuries or health problems. Around strangers, WInter will try to swat at strangers when they walk around the apartment and will also hiss at people. He has not lived with other cats, dogs, or people so his behavior around them is unknown. WHen his owners play with him, he will jump around and zoom all over the place. He has not bitten another animal or person. Winter tends to act agressive to new people that approach him. His owner also states he tries to swat at her when he wants her attention. During the car ride, Winter will constantly meow and cry in his carrier. His owner reports no litterbox issues. He will struggle is his owner tries to give him a bath, trim hiss nails, and brush him. He is not bothered by being placed in a carrier. Winter Wigs is describe as a moody but nice cat who appreciates being left alone and given attention when he wants it. His energy is high and he loves zoom around the apartment and climb on the counters. He also loves to jump in the bathtub after his owners are done showering. He will be in his favorite spot by the window when his owners arrive. He loves to play with wands, balls, and catnip mice. His owner also states he is a great mouser. He was kept indoors only. Winter is use to either sleeping in his carrier or on his owner’s bed. He is use to eating friskies wet and dry food and loves temptations treats. Winter was provided with an uncovered litterbox with clumping clay. He was provided with a vertical scratching post made of carpet and cardboard but also was allowed to scratch his owner’s rocking chair and bed.
