WILLIE – A1103317
Safe - 2-18-2017 Brooklyn
***SAFE 02/18/17***Arctic and Willie are quiet older gentlemen who will add a splash of class to any room’s decor and would do well in a nice quiet home. Tony is definitely a classy older lady as well, and would also be happiest in a calm, experienced kitty home with no children. (Came in with Arctic, Billy & Tony, also listed tonight.)

02/11/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
KNOWN HISTORY: Willie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Willie was curled up on his blanket and seems very wary of his surroundings. Reaction when softly spoken to: Willie doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Willie slowly moves to the other side of the double kennel. Reaction to touch: Willie looks around frantically and leans away when the assessor approaches him. He hissed when the assessor rubbed him on his head then he closed his eyes and turned away. His body feels tense and he slowly shifts away from contact. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 02/09/17 Hunkered down at back of cage, along rear wall, wide eyes, intently follows my movements, quiet, unmoving. Ate well overnight. Doesn’t move when I open cage door and slowly approach, intently watches my hand. Allows me to touch and pet all over, but flinches a little when touched. Tense, wary, needs time to adjust. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Tense, fearful, allows handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Skittish RECOMMENDATIONS: _x_ Experienced, adult home only- Willie tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home who understands this cat may need time to warm up to his new home and family at his own pace.
