ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet KNOWN HISTORY: Wildfire was brought into the car center as a stray with unknown history. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 5/29/17- Observed Behavior – scarred/tense but allows full exam ENRICHMENT NOTES: 5/30/17- Resting in litter box, soft eyes and body. Stood briefly on approach, then flopped down and started rolling over. Leaned into pets, purred. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Wildfire remains lying down on his cage bedding during approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Wildfire remains in place and becomes alert with normal shape pupils. Reaction to touch: Wildfire accepts the touch and leans into the assessor’s hand while he joyfully rolls over and purrs. Reaction to being picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Wildfire interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
