WHIRLYBIRD – A1066482
Safe - 3-9-2016 Manhattan
***SAFE 03/09/16*** They say you can’t have too much of a good thing, but if you’re talking about cats? You can have too much of a good thing. That is what happened in the case of BATMAN, ROBIN, WHIRLYBIRD & RIDDLER entering the ACC system straight from a hoarding situation. The ACC system is starting to get overcrowded since kitten season is right around the corner. Black cats especially get overlooked which is sad because they make awesome pets. Please don’t let it end for these cats in
this place, in this way. A cat should not be killed because the owners were deeply lacking in judgement. Be the change for this whole group of cats tonight. They need you more than ever. Contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE if you can foster or adopt.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Whirlybird looks tense, hiding in her cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Whirlybird stiffens up in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Whirlybird accepts the stroke, but remains cautious with her surroundings while her eyes wander around. Placement determination: Experience / no child Whirlybird tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
