03/24/17 16:48 Basic Information: Wheezy is an 8 year old female Calico that has no past or current medical issues that the owner is aware of. Previous owner has had Wheezy since she was a kitten but can no longer have her due to a relative who has a phobia of cats living with her. Socialization: According to the owner, around strangers, Wheezy timid and will hide. Around adults, Wheezy is relaxed and respectful. Wheezy does not tolerant children and will run but if a child would attempt to pet her, she would hiss and swat. Wheezy has not been exposed to other cats or dogs so her behavior around them is unknown. She has never bitten a person or another animal before. Behavior: Previous owners stated that Wheezy does not have any behavioral or litterbox issues. Previous owner did not bathe, brush her coat, or trim Wheezy’s nails so it is unknown how she would react to these grooming agents. Wheezy allows being picked up and held but only for a short period of time, she will attempt to struggle free when she has had enough. Wheezy was bribed into the carrier with food due to not being cooperative. She meowed during the car ride. For a New Family to Know: Wheezy is described as, mellow, shy, and independent with a low activity level. When in the home, Wheezy is would sometimes follow you around if she wants attention and other times she would just be in her favorite spots. She does not play with any toys. She was kept indoors and is litter box trained. Wheezy used a hooded litter box and clumping or non-clumping litter. She was fed dry & wet cat food. Wheezy also used a scratching post made of carpet.
