**SAFE 04/01/16** SAD AND SCARED WHITE AND BROWN TABBY NEEDS RESCUE ANGEL! Wesley is a year and a half year old new mom who was found wandering around a neighborhood, scooped up and dumped at the kill happy shelter. Poor Wesley has obviously spent some time on the street–as she came in with a dirty coat and some healing scratches across the bridge of her nose and between the eyes. She is a pretty girl and just needs some TLC and a place to chill out. She is positively petrified at the shelter and who can blame her? She knows her precious life is in peril. In fact, poor Wesley won’t make it past tomorrow afternoon, if we don’t do everything we can to advocate for her tonight. Wesley needs a compassionate purrson who would give her time to decompress and learn how to trust people. She needs a miracle. Can you be that special purrson to offer this sad and scared girl a new “leash” on life? Please contact a New Hope rescue if you can help Wesley. Please share and pledge towards her rescue. Email our help desk for assistance. Let’s get started NOW!!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Wesley and at the time she flinched when touched, looks around and is wary of the environment. Wesley was also tense with her ears perk up and alert. Reaction to assessor: Weslsey watches the assessor tensely from the back of the cage When spoken quietly: Wesley continues to watch the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Wesley becomes stiff Reaction to touch: Wesley hisses, strikes and does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: NewHope Wesley seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. Wesley may require further investigation before placement in a home. Wesley is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
