Hello, my name is Watson. My animal id is #14543. I am a desexed male brown tabby cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 3 years 1 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a stray on 25-Nov-2017.
Watson is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Infection, which is contagious to other cats. Behaviorally, we suggest Watson would be most suited to a cat experienced home.

Watson slow blinked when approached and leaned into pets. He allowed me to pick him up and collar him but his body was low. He went into his kennel easily.

How is this cat around strangers?: When Watson’s finder attempted to pick him up, his ran away and attempted to scratch.
How is this cat around children?: Unknown.
How is this cat around other cats?: Unknown.
How is this cat around dogs?: Unknown.

KNOWN HISTORY:: Watson was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: 11/30- Observed Behavior – compliant for exam
Cage Condition:: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor:: Watson remained neutral, lying down hiding in the cage cubby during the approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Watson becomes alert, lifts up head with normal shape eyes.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Watson stiffened up in place, lip licked, ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch:: Watson accepted the touch, but placed head down during the interaction and showed no interest.
