Name and A#: Vicky A1056243 Date: 8/12/2017 KNOWN HISTORY: Second stay in the care center. Vicky came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. During intake, Vicky was active and friendly, soliciting attention. She allowed all handling. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: During her initial medical exam, Vicky was nervous and tense, and allowed limited handling. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Vicky was resting at the back of her cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Vicky looked at the assessor, body and eyes soft. She stood up and walked toward the front of the cage. Reaction to cage door opening: Vicky paused, maintaining eye contact with soft body and eyes. Reaction to touch: Vicky responded minimally, but remained relaxed and allowed all petting. Reaction to being picked up: Vicky relaxed into the assessor’s arms. After returning to the cage, she allowed further petting and attention. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Easy going, Sweet BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Vicky interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
