SAFE 4/10/17 A volunteer writes: It’s funny how a cat named after a fictional character that represents chaos is actually the sweetest, most easygoing and relaxed furball you’ll ever meet. Vaatu enjoys sitting right out in her cat condo, meeting and greeting visitors who are drawn to her warm green eyes and gentle vibe. When she arrived at the Care Center a week ago she was a bit tense and standoffish, but now she’s hitting her stride and loving the attention and petting. (And she had no problem having her photo taken–she knows she’s pretty!). With her chipmunk-like cheeks and nice people skills, Vaatu has a bright future ahead of her. Perhaps on your living room sofa? Another volunteer writes: I stopped into the cat adoption room the other day, and I couldn’t believe that Vaatu was still occupying her corner cat condo. Come on New York, what’s taking you so long to notice this quiet tabby beauty? She’s been at the Care Center for about a month now, and though she tends to be shy around new people and doesn’t like to complain, I know she’d really like to be in her forever home, where she can bask in the spring sunshine coming through the window and feel secure and loved. It’s the time of the year for new beginnings–help Vaatu get her fresh start now.
