11/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Umbreon was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Umbreon was lying down with his head resting against his litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Umbreon lifts his head up, turns towards the assessor with wide eyes, lip licks and doesn’t come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Umbreon remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Umbreon lip licks and focuses intensely on the assessor’s hand upon approach. His body feels tense/stiff at first but he slowly loosens up and relaxes the more you interact with him. After a couple soft pets on his head he leans in for attention, rests his head on his blanket and allows petting all over his body. Behavior Determination: Experience Umbreon may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to him new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
