***SAFE 09/27/16***TYSON HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO THE SAME, OLD EXCUSE…. DUMPED BECAUSE OF “ALLERGIES!!” He’s 7 years old and has not been around any kids, cats or dogs. Ergo the EXPNOCHILD RATING! But once hrs settled and used to his new home, he should be just fine! He just hasn’t been socialized but he’s not too old for that! He’s been great around adults so one would expect that he would maintain the same behavior around anyone…with just a little time! Offer to FOSTER OR ADOPT TYSON!!! DON’T BE “CHICKEN!!” STAND UP AND SAVE THIS POOR GUY’S LIFE!

09/18/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/18/16 12:43 Basic Info: Tyson A1090227 is a 7yr old male gray/blue DSH feline who was given to the owner from the previous owner 2-3yrs ago & is being surrendered due to allergies and him not always using the litter box. Tyson hasn’t been seen by a veterinarian and currently has no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Around strangers Tyson is friendly/outgoing. He hasn’t been around other animals or children but was exuberant, affectionate & playful with the adults (but one of the adults in the home is afraid of him). Tyson hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Tyson will meow and or be relaxed. He isn’t bothered by the following: being picked up/held (when he wants the attention/affection), being brushed or with being placed into a carrier. Tyson hasn’t been given a bath, had his nails trimmed or been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Tyson is described as friendly, affectionate, playful (at times) & confident with a low-high activity level. When the owner is home Tyson follows them around. He enjoys mouse & ball toys (at times) and is an indoor only cat that sleeps around the home. Tyson eats dry Purina Cat Chow 1-3x a day. He is uncovered litter box trained with clumping litter within which he doesn’t always use (for the past several months); he also sprays around the home at times and hasn’t been taken to a vet for these issues. Tyson scratches on furniture, drapes/curtains, walls, mattresses and has two large cat towers. Intake Behavior: Tyson had a soft body & soft eyes. He allowed all handling. Tyson allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of including positioning him during his photo session. Tyson didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held & was placed into a kennel with ease.

09/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Former owner stated around strangers Tyson is friendly/outgoing. He hasn’t been around other animals or children but was exuberant, affectionate & playful with the adults. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, playful (at times) & confident with a low-high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Tyson looks neutral, crouched position on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Tyson remains stiff in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Tyson allows the stroke on the head, but along the back he becomes anxious then attempts to escape the petting. Placement determination: Experience / no child Tyson tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
