TWO SOCKS – A1072737
Gone - 5-22-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 05/22/16*** WALK A DAY IN HER SHOES!
TWO SOCKS has been surrendered due to the death of her owner. The worst way to be surrendered, because there isn’t anyone to blame except the one who surrendered this 10 year old,to a HIGH KILL SHELTER instead of at least a NO KILL SHELTER! She’s recovering from wounds due to embedded nails, likely from her previous owner not being able to care for her since the owner was too sick. She’s scared but already SPAYED, she just needs an EXPERIENCED hand with no kids! If you live your life putting one sock on at a time, you might lose sight of how it feels to walk with TWO SOCKS…in her shoes!

05/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Two Sock’s finder reports that she can become very nervous and anxious when taken out of the home. The enrichment facilitator has been monitoring Two Socks and reports she was curious and a little hesitant of contact but warmed up quickly when pet. She allows petting all over and is very affectionate. Reaction to assessor: Two Socks was resting at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Two Socks raises her head up, makes eye contact but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Two Socks is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Two Socks gets up, sniffs the assessor’s hand and leans her head in slowly for rubs. Her tail is at body level and she allows petting all over. Reaction to being picked up: Two Socks grumbles when attempting to be picked up then hisses to be placed down. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Two Socks tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
