Lying in back of kennel. She allows petting along her head and body, leaning in gently with her head. Very round belly – possibly pregnant. She’s at the front of the kennel by the end of the interaction, vocalizing.
EVALUATION:
Cage Condition: Cage is re-arranged
Reaction to assessor: Trixie was lying down on her side at the back of the kennel
Reaction when softly spoken to: Trixie leans forward to investigate; lip licks then starts grumbling.
Reaction to cage door opening: Trixie is alert.
Reaction to touch: Trixie grumbles but leans forward to interact with the assessor. She warms up quickly and leans in for rubs and petting all over her body. She appreciates attention and her tail becomes erect and quivers when touched along her back.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back
VOCAL: Somewhat chatty
CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Easy going
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average
Trixie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
