No c/v/d. Good appetite Objective P = WNL R = WNL BCS 6/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: dental disease- missing teeth, moderate tartar PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs have harsh BV sounds bilaterally with audible upper resp congestion ABD: snp, nmp U/G: FS, no MGTs, no vulvar d/c MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy haircoat-shaved over tail base CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: Geriatric URI Dental disease Hx matted-shaved on intake Hx possible cranial organomegaly on intake-resolved Plan: Move to iso start doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x10d Recheck day 5, 10 Prognosis: Fair

Lived Indoors Previously lived with: Adults Behavior toward strangers: Hides and takes a few days to warm up to people Behavior toward children: Unknown Behavior toward cats: Unknown Behavior toward dogs: Unknown Bite or Scratch history: None Litter box training: Yes Energy level/descriptors: Affectionate and loves to cuddle. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Tried to jump off table, allowed full exam Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Fruitcake was curled up tight inside her litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Fruitcake lip licks then turns her head away. Reaction to cage door opening: Fruitcake remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Fruitcake seems a little hesitant but slowly warms up when pet. She perks up when pet and gently nudges the assessor’s hand but has a tense body and doesn’t come forward for attention. She appreciates attention but is still a little shy and stays near the back of the kennel where she feels comfortable. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy Sweet POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: None BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: Experience Behavior Asilomar TM – Treatable-Manageable RECOMMENDATIONS: None BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Fruitcake may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home.
