07/11/17 12:53 The person who surendered was only looking after the cats for a short time and just feeding them so she did not have too much knowledge on the cats. The client would help the owner out and take the cats to vet appointments sometimes but did not have further interaction with them. During intake, Toby allowed being collared and having his picture taken. Toby had a loose body.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Sweet, Independent ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/12/17 Sitting up behind litter box, eyes dilated. Sniffed assess-a-hand, allowed and slightly leaned into pets, lip licked. Ate treats after door closed. 7/13/17 Resting in cubby, soft eyes and body. Lay in place when door opened, sniffed hand, leaned slightly away from pets, but seemed overall calmer today. Ate treats when left alone. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Toby remains neutral, lying down on his cage bedding. Reaction to cage door opening: Toby remains soft body, alert with eyes wandering his surroundings. Reaction to touch: Toby distance increases, seems hesitant at first, but allows the petting and began to slowly head bunt the assessor’s hand while purring in place. Reaction to being picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Toby interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Came in with 2 other cats. Subjective: Alert, mews in kennel, allows all handling but tries to dart away from examiner. Objective BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 6/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: Clean teeth! PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Soft, non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Male neutered MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted. Fur coat slightly rough but appears clean and neat. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: Normal externally. Assessment: Apparently healthy neutered male cat Plan: Placement! Prognosis: Excellent 1088
