**SAFE 04/12/16** HELP! 1 YEAR OLD BABY BOY TO DIE TOMORROW AT NOON! Handsome Toby is just a year old! He’s just a baby. He’s beautifully marked, uses his litter box like a good boy, and loves his toys. So why has the ACC chosen to KILL him? For space perhaps? This sweet boy has been betrayed by the only family he has ever known, and now again has been failed by the staff of the shelter. Please-give this little one a chance to experience life. Don’t let it be cut tragically short. Reach out and pull him to safety RIGHT NOW! Toby will be gone tomorrow!

04/09/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
RS, 4/9/2016 MIA Toby’s former owner stated he is friendly around strangers. She plays gentle with adults. Toby has never lived with a child. Toby lived with a Yorkie, but he did not get along with her. Also, best described as friendly, affectionate and playful with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Toby looks soft and relaxed in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Toby rolls over in place, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Toby at first, accepts a brief stroke then flehman reacts, pounces, and moderately nips at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Toby is social and affectionate, but appears to be easily overstimulated. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Toby becomes overstimulated. We also recommend fishing pole-type toys for play as they allow for interaction and vigorous, stimulating exercise while keeping human hands at a distance.
