***6 Month DOH Quarantine*** Beginner Tabby Girl Tiny looking for a home to recovery in @MACC. Tiny came into the Care Center with bites of unknown origin. She will need to be quarantined at a vet clinic or can be quarantined in a home with permission from DOH in the 5 boroughs. If leaving the 5 boroughs, quarantine MUST be approved by the receiving city or township DOH. Please note, the 5 boroughs are easier for in home quarantine.

Hx: healing bite wounds to distal RH paw with multiple fractures metatarsals S/O BAR, very interactive and adorable, head butting and rubbing on cage mm pk, moist no nasal discharge/sneezing; OU-open and clear intermittent purring on auscultation, no murmurs/arrhythmias soft abdomen RH-increased weight bearing today but still very sensitive on palpation; multiple bite wound appear to be healing well with granulation tissue and no active discharge; mild diffuse swelling along tarsal/metatarsal joint but significantly improved overall A bite wounds-healing well multiple metatarsal fractures P continue simbadol rec’d extended cage rest/pain management x 6-8 weeks vs possible surgical stabilization of MT fractures prognosis: good

08/20/17 13:00 During Intake: Tiny allowed handling and collaring. She showed discomfort in her rear paw. She had a relaxed body posture, her tail was swishing side to side. Her eyes were constricted and she was very vocal.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Affectionate MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/21/17- Observed Behavior – friendly, docile, allows handling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/21/17- Sitting up on bedding, soft eyes and body, licking wounded foot. Meowed on approach. Ate treats from my hand, leaned and arched into pets, purred. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Tiny immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Tiny remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Tiny head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Tiny interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
