***SAFE 05/18/16*** SECOND CHANCE FOR LITTLE ORANGE!! TINKER is a rare female orange cat who is only 1 year old. Barely out of kittenhood this orange cutie is pregnant. She was brought to the shelter as a stray. TINKER is tense in the shelter and is only available through New Hope Rescue partners. If you want to save this young mommy-to-be please contact a New Hope Rescue. TINKER is a talker and if we could translate her meows, she’s most likely saying, “Please save me and my unborn babies from lethal injection!” This adorable orange girl and her babies deserve pampered happy long lives! 05/16/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tinker was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Tinker was eating her food at the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tinker arches her back and low growls at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Tinker remains motionless Reaction to touch: Tinker’s eyes widen starts to low growl as you approach her. She lowers her head and tolerates petting briefly then hisses and swats. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Tinker is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
