She is a very friendly lady who will reward your attention with wonderful purring and “head butting”!…..She only has an EXPERIENCE rating because she doesn’t like her stomach touched or to be picked up as many cats….Otherwise, she is already SPAYED and 4 years young!! I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 04/04/2016 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

04/04/16 16:28 Tina is a 1 year old black and white female domestic shorthair cat who arrived as a stray surrender. Upon intake Tina was receptive to introduction and allowed petting. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (positive) collar and photograph. Tina returned to the carrier on her own when it was presented to her.

Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Tina Marie. At the time he hissed but came forward quickly and sniffed hand then head butts. Tina Marie allows petting briefly then swats with her eyes dilated. Reaction to assessor: Tina Marie does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Tina Marie comes to the front of cage and soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: Tina Marie remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Tina Marie solicits petting and attention but does not allow her stomach to be touched Try picking cat up: Tina Marie is not tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Experience Tina was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing in the care center. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the assessor and soliciting attention. Tina Marie does not allow her stomach to be touched or being handled. Tina Marie is displaying behavior appropriate for an experienced cat owner.
