***SAFE 04/12/16*** WHO DUMPS A 15 YEAR OLD FRIENDLY CAT FOR NO TIME??? SWEET TIMMY NEEDS A RESCUE ANGEL NOW!! This is the question of the night. TIMMY has reached the age of 15 and his ex-owner marched into the ACC and left him saying he had no time! He also said he didn’t know much about the cat. These excuses are getting a bit ridiculous, don’t you think? TIMMY is in need of a full vet evaluation as he has the normal geriatric issues of any older cat but he certainly doesn’t deserve to be killed for no reason. TIMMY rocked an AVERAGE rating because he was easy to handle, interacted with the assessor and was calm. TIMMY NEEDS A RETIREMENT HOME NOW – NOT THE NEEDLE OF DEATH!! WHO WILL GIVE THIS BOY A WARM WINDOWSILL TO SLEEP ON TONIGHT? EMAIL THE HELP DESK FOR RESCUE INFO TO ADOPT OR FOSTER TIMMY. HE HAS ONLY TIL NOON TUESDAY. ACT NOW!!

04/11/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Timmy came into the care center surrendered by his previous owner, but we do not have any information about his behavior in his previous home. Timmy was a bit timid but easy to handle during his medical examination. Timmy was visited the day after intake by our Enrichment Facilitator who states he was at the front of the cage, curious about his surroundings, and allowed petting all over his head and body. The Assessor had a similar experience during Timmy’s behavior evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Timmy is resting near the back of the cage. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains in place, body soft. Reaction to touch: Timmy does not approach but remains resting, body soft, while the assessor pets his head and along his back. Timmy is calm and gently closes his eyes. Placement determination: Average Timmy interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
