TIGER was surrendered for allergies after two years….his owner apparently lives under a rock because there is a plethora of allergy medications and treatments available if you love your pet….so we’re thinking allergies wasn’t actually the surrender reason…….TIGER now has a nasty URI from the ACC which is interfering with his appetite. TIGER is only 2 years old and Beyond Handsome. He lived and played with an 11 year old. PLEASE HELP HIM FIND A REAL HOME TONIGHT!! Colds can be cured, Death can’t. 6/11/16 18:50 Basic information: Tiger is a 2 year old male domestic short hair mix. The owner surrendered Tiger because she has become allergic to him. Tiger has no health problems and the owner has not taken him to a vet. Socialization: The owner states that around strangers Coffee is friendly and outgoing Tiger has not lived with a 11 year old child, he is gentle and loves to play. He has never been around dogs or other cats so the owner has no idea how Tiger would react around them. Tiger has never bitten or scratched anyone. Behavior: Tiger has never been bathed, had his nails trimmed. He does not mind having his coat brushed, being picked up and allows being placed in a cat carrier. For a new family to know: The owner describes Tiger as friendly and playful cat with a medium activity level. Tiger has played with rubber ball, strings and stuffed cat toys; he lives mostly indoors and sleeps anywhere in the house that he wants. In the home Tiger will follow the owner around and prefers to stay in same room as the owner. Tiger eats various brands of brand dry cat food and is feed two times a day. He is litter box trained and uses a covered litter box with clumping litter. Tiger has a scratching post made of carpet which he will use to scratch on. Behavior during intake: During intake Tiger was somewhat tense with stiff body, he allowed us to scan (-), photographed (inside kennel) and placed in cat kennel. After intake Tiger would growl and fletch when handler attempted to Id collar on.

Tiger’s previous owner reports he is friendly and outgoing around strangers. He has lived with a child and is gentle and loves to play. He was described as a friendly and playful cat, with a medium activity level. Tiger has played with rubber ball, strings, and stuffed cat toys. Reaction to assessor: Tiger was calm and relaxed by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tiger looks at the assessor and sniffs around. Reaction to cage door opening: Tiger remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tiger sniffs the assessor’s hand and head-butts lightly. He begins to purr, leans in for petting, and attempts to explore. Reaction to being picked up: Tiger remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Tiger interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
