07/19/17 12:13 Tiger came in with Jazz A0739394. They seemed to be bonded as they were cuddled up in the box they came in. Tiger seemed calm at first and curious sticking his head out of the box. Counselor was able to pick up Tiger to take picture but while holding him he hissed and tried to bite (did not break skin) counselor. He scanned positve for microchip and allowed limited handling.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Affectionate ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/20/17- Dozing in den, woke when door opened. Easily lured out with treats. Seemed a little wary, but overall soft posture. Hind quarters appeared wet, urine? Ate offered treats, leaned and arched into pets. A little hesitant at first, but quickly started purring. Went back into den after door closed. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Tiger remains neutral, resting on his cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Tiger stands with tail up, soft eyes, ears erect and forward; softly meowing. Reaction to touch: Tiger head bunts the assessor’s hand, purrs, and appreciates the petting. Reaction to being picked up: Tiger squirms when held then walks back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Tiger interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
