TICKLE – A1080471

***GONE 07/27/16*** Seriously, the letters “w-t-f” are going to flash into your mind when read TICKLE’s owner surrender notes: “He was surrendered by his owner due to owner going on vacation and not longer wanting a pet.” Oh, and this is a 7 MONTH OLD kitten that had been GIFTED from one family member to another, only a few months ago. SOME PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE PETS, that’s very true, and whoever gifted this poor kitten to that completely irresponsible family member as good as loaded the syringe of death for the euth technician. PLEASE STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING! Tickle is a YOUNG BOY who has clearly not had any decent decisions made on his behalf, and tonight, he’s on a list of 45 cats and kittens who are about to be MURDERED by the ACC. When will the madness stop? YOU can stop the madness for TICKLE by finding a FOSTER or ADOPTER for him TONIGHT!

07/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Tickle has lived with two adults and two children. He is described as shy around strangers and takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. Around the children he is fearful because they will engage in rough play with Tickle. He would run and hide from the children. He has not been around other cats or dogs. Reaction to assessor: Tickle does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Tickle does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Tickle remains motionless Reaction to touch: Tickle was a little apprehensive at first but warms up and starts seeking attention Try picking cat up: Tickle is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Tickle was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
