*** SAFE 08/17/16 *** DOUBLE DUMP!! TWO GORGEOUS SUPER SENIORS!! ……A volunteer writes: Perhaps you’ve read in Ovid the delightful story of Baucis and Philemon, the old Greek couple who were so generous and kind-hearted that the Gods turned their cottage into a stately temple and granted their fondest wish, which was to be together forever (there was a catch: they were changed into trees. There’s always a catch!) Anyway, Ti and his companion Ginger (A0416134) remind me very much of Baucis and Philemon. They are a gentle, elderly pair who are sharing a duplex kennel here at Brooklyn ACC. While it would be very nice for them to be adopted together to a new home, it is not essential that they stay together, as a loving home is what they need the most. When I came to visit them, Baucis–uh, I mean, Ginger–greeted me at the door to her cubby with soft head butts and lots of purring, rolled over on her side, and kept pressing her lovely, delicately striped head against my hand. Ti, not to be outdone, greeted me in much the same way and then started smushing his cheek against the side of the kennel doorway, a gesture familiar to all cat owners. These two venerable souls, who appear to be in excellent health, deserve a reward just like Baucis and Philemon. If we had divine powers here at the Care Center, we’d turn their cat condo into a stately temple! Instead, it’s up to you, so score big with the Gods and bring joy into your life by adopting either one or both of these beauties!…..CMON’ FOLKS! SOMEONE MUST HAVE ROOM FOR THIS ADORABLE COUPLE!! We can help! Email us at [email protected]
