THESUS – A1084222
Safe - 8-18-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: www.statenislandhoperescue.org
***SAFE 08/18/16*** Another day, another BRUTAL kill list from the ACC, and as always, kittens feature prominently among those scheduled to die. It’s a crying shame that NEW YORK CITY doesn’t know these cats are at the ACC and in need; it’s a shame that NEW YORK CITY doesn’t do better. It would be awesome if NEW YORK CITY would give a damn about TITUS and THESUS, two 9-week-old kittens who are scared enough to have earned EXPNOCHILD ratings in the ACC, during their short time there. Kittens are curious critters and with some TLC and steady attention, these two should make lovely companions….if they get the chance. Please do better than the agency whose job it is to have found these kittens homes, and find a FOSTER or ADOPTER to step up for them both, tonight!

08/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Thesus was at the front of the cage behind the clipboard with his siblings When spoken quietly: Thesus stays behind the clipboard with her siblings Reaction to door cage opening: Thesus begins to hiss with his ears back Reaction to touch: Thesus was tense and continued to hiss but allowed petting Try picking cat up: Thesus is tense when held Behavior Determination: Experience Thesus was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Hisses as I started to get closer I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
