*** ZARIA SAFE 02/10/16 KITTENS IN ACC FOSTER CARE *** REPREHENSIBLE! Sugar-sweet ZARIA was nursing her wee babies when the family entered the ACC, but now that those kittens are in foster care, what does the ACC do? It plans to KILL THE MOM, of course; what else would they do? This two-tone beauty earned a rock-steady AVERAGE rating and inspired amazing volunteer comments. Please save ZARIA tonight! “A volunteer writes: Sweet little Zaria came to us as a stray, so we don’t know anything about her past. She was sitting kind of shyly in the back of her kennel when I noticed her cute face. I went to say hello, and as soon as I started petting her, she relaxed and started purring. Just at the start of her adulthood, she is all ready to start her new life at home of her own. Come see if she belongs with you, she will be very pleased to meet you. A volunteer writes: Zaria is a wonderful cat! She loves to be stroked! She will meow and head butt your hand to encourage you to start petting. When you pet her she rolls over on her back as if to say, “Keep petting me!” Zaria is at the Manhattan center. Come meet Zaria and be her forever human!! Another volunteer writes: Tiny and black with white spots, Zaria is affectionate and inquiring. Sometimes you see her folding her paws elegantly as she surveys the area with the greatest serenity. She nuzzles into your hand and loves to be stroked, and would be a charming companion for many years to come.”

01/26/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
01/26/16 16:08 Zaria A1063650 is a young black & white female DSH feline who was brought in with her 5 Kittens: Zanaria A1063651, Zatanna A1063652, Zaina A1063653, Zaiden A1063654 & Zahir A1063655 after being left in front of the finder’s home a couple of days ago in the Bronx. They stated they aren’t able to keep the family any longer due to allergies and having small dogs in the home. The finder stated Zaria didn’t use a litter box while in the home for the two days but the 5 kittens did, they’re all allowed handling and enjoyed playing with the adult in the home. Zaria & her kittens ate both wet & dry Meow Mix cat food 1-2x a day and slept around the home. They all allowed them to place them into a box to be brought into our BXAC. During intake Zaria allowed all handling. Zaria did attempt to flee and or hide when we placed her on our backdrop for her photo session but remained still most of the time. Zaria allowed to be scanned (-) ,collared & taken pictures of. She didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held and was placed into a kennel with ease.
