08/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Please note that Lelsie is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Lelsie does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Lelsie does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening:Lelsie remains motionless Reaction to touch: Lelsie seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Lelsie is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Lelsie was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
