***SAFE 05/24/16*** 7 MONTH OLD SHY KITTEN IS IN NEED OF RESCUE OR WILL PERISH! No one asked THANOS what she wanted when she was trapped and bought into ACC at 7 months of age, from Park Slope, Brooklyn as a ‘stray’ but that could mean anything. One would think people have not heard of TNR, which is a better option than dumping a 7 month old kitten at ACC to be killed. THANOS, which means ‘Noble’ in greek is just that, a lovely girl who needs you tonight. She’s just a baby, and with time and love and much patience would come around, but for that to happen she needs a kind person to approach a rescue and offer to foster her or adopt her outright. Cats like THANOS are often the most rewarding, for love, when it blooms, is accompanied by the most wonderful devotion. Will you spare this kitten’s life?

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Thanos was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Thanos was hiding inside her feral den. Reaction when softly spoken to: Thanos has wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Thanos remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Thanos’s ears bend flat as you approach and is curled up at the back of the den. She lip licks and tolerates minimal contact before attempting to flee. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Thanos is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
