09/28/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Teacher was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Teacher was stress meowing with wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Teacher curls up tight, turns his head away and continues to stress meow. Reaction to cage door opening: Teacher remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Teacher hisses when the assessor extended his hand out then lip licked. He retreats into the litter box with eyes fixated on all movements and tolerates petting briefly. His body is tense and he appears uncomfortable and continues to lip lick. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Teacher tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
