A good FOSTER or ADOPTER can make TAZ feel safe and secure with an investment of Time & Patience …..too bad the ACC doesn’t want to do that!! PLEASE APPLY FOR TAZ BEFORE NOON TOMORROW!!….The ACC doesn’t wait and doesn’t hesitate….If you need assistance, email us at [email protected]

09/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Taz came into the care center as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He has been timid and has avoided interaction since intake, although he has allowed some handling. During his behavior evaluation, Taz allowed interaction but leaned away from touch. Reaction to assessor: Taz is hiding in his cat den. He cannot be coaxed out. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains in den. Reaction to touch: The assessor turns the cat den so she can see Taz. He vocalizes, cautious but not fully retreated. In the den, Taz allows gentle touch but leans away and retreats from the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience Taz tolerates some attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be undersocialized and may have not yet learned to trust humans entirely. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents who will allow him to warm up to his new home and new family at his own pace, and who will provide positive experiences to build his confidence.
