11/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tansy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was receptive to handling upon intake, but hissed repeatedly during his initial medical exam. The medical team reported he solicited attention, but suggested to go slow when handling. Reaction to assessor: Tansy was lying down, calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tansy approaches the front and rubs his cheeks on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Tansy remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tansy head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. He is very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to pick up: Tansy remains calm and continues to purr when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Tansy interacts with the observer, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
