TAMMY – A1083127
Gone - 8-3-2016 Manhattan
**GONE 08/03/16** Tammy & Ken are two young kittens that have found themselves in the shelter system. They were once living outside and being fed but someone decided that bringing them to the shelter would somehow help them. Now Tammy & Ken are scheduled to die tomorrow. Both are a little nervous but earned respectable experience behavior ratings. Don’t let these babies die at ACC. Open your heart and home to Tammy & Ken!

08/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tammy came into the care center as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She has been timid since intake, though she tolerates being touched without aggressing. However, she appears to be undersocialized and avoided interaction with the assessor thoughout her behavior evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Tammy retreats immediately when the assessor kneels by her cage. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains pressed at the back of the cage, body tense. Reaction to touch: Tammy freezes, allows touch without aggressing but is clearly uncomfortable. She does not relax or respond to the contact. Placement determination: Experience Tammy appears to be an undersocialized young kitten who is intimidated by human interaction. We recommend placement with an experienced adopter or foster who can work on socialization and providing positive experiences so Tammy learns to trust the humans around her. Progress may be slow due to her age.
