Medical Summary 04/16/17 DVM exam History – stray cat found giving birth yesterday. No medical concerns noted. Microchip scan negative F, age est 1.5 yrs Evidence of cruelty – No. Evidence of trauma – No. Observed behavior – Shy, hisses when approached, allows all handling. O: QARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. HR=200, RR=20. BCS=3/9. ORAL: All adult teeth erupted. Mild gingivitis. EENT: No oculonasal discharge, no sneezing. Dirt on pinnae, no debris in ear canals. H/L: Lungs clear, no murmurs/arrhythmias. No dyspnea. ABD: Soft, non-painful. No masses/organomegaly. UG: Female, post-partum. Slight serosanguineous vulvar discharge. MS: Amb x 4, no lameness. Thin body consition. INTEG: Full, dirty haircoat. No skin lesions, no fleas. Mammary glands enalrged, milk expressed. NEURO: Menattion appropriate, no neuro deficits. A: Underweight, lactating, 1 day post partum. P: Offer meals TID. Monitor appetite. OK for FVRCP, Rabies, FELV/FIV test, Microchip. Deworm with Pyrantel. No flea treatment applied due to nursing kittens. Excellent prognosis. Temporary waiver from OHV surgery due to nursing kittens.
