Tabby has never been around any other animals. Tabby has never bitten or scratched another animal or a person. Behavior: In a car, Tabby is relaxed and usually just stares outside of her carrier. Tabby does not have litterbox issues. Tabby is not bothered when she is given a bath, the owner has never tried to cut her nails. For a New Family to Know: Tabby is described as friendly, affectionate, and very mellow. Tabby has a low activity level and the owner believes she would be perfect for a home with older people. The owner’s favorite thing about Tabby is how friendly she is. Tabby loves to run through the house every now and then. When the owner is home, Tabby follows her around and then sometimes will jump on to her lap. Tabby likes balls and chasing toys, anything she can smack around! Tabby has been kept indoors only. Tabby has free run of the house so she sleeps anywhere she wants. Tabby is free fed Meow Mix dry food. Tabby uses an uncovered litterbox with clay litter. A fearful cat will feel more relaxed when given options, so provide her with the chance to move closer, investigate, or interact with you. Be sure to offer incentive such as treats or play time whenever the cat makes a small positive step. Please speak to an adoption counselor for additional information on methods to desensitize your cat to their fear stimulus. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Tabby tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
