Evidence of Trauma seen – no
Objective
P = wnl R = wnl BCS=4/9
EENT: Eyes have mild crusts but no active d/c, ears have moderate brown waxy debris, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: adult incisors, the rest is kitten dentition, no oral ulcers noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MI
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, very dirty/soot covered hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment:
Apparently healthy but covered in soot
Plan:
Recheck breathing, consider CXR if dyspneic
Sedate with telazol 0.05ml IM and bathe with Dawn
Recover with heat support in medical
Cleaned ears
Neuter while sedated
Give simbadol 0.24mg/kg SQ post op
Prognosis: Good
SURGERY: Okay for surgery
