***SAFE 07/21/17***TWO YEAR OLD SWISS MISS IS HEALTHY SPAYED & SWEET…A volunteer writes: Swiss is the acrobat of the cat adoption room–this tabby beauty can be found sleeping on her side, on her back, or curled up tight in a pinwheel. When she’s awake, she’s generally quiet and okay doing her own thing. She’s up for making friends and is curious about visitors, but she takes her time to decide if she feels like a petting session or would prefer to hang back and watch the action. I get the feeling she’s a house cat very comfortable with humans, yet still has an independent streak. Our behavior team agreed, noting that while she’s fine with being petted, she may need some warming up first. If your kind of cat is lovely and well-behaved yet doesn’t need constant human attention, then Miss Swiss is your girl!

07/19/2017 AT RISK MEMO
A1117203 Swiss – Adult only determination; Swiss becomes stiff and alert when approached for interaction, will turn to look for a place to hide. She tolerates brief petting with a slow approach before she uses her paw to pat the assessor (without nails) to avoid further contact. She has begun hissing and swatting while in the adoption room, so she was moved to a low traffic room to reduce her stress levels.
