***SAFE 08/12/16*** POLYDACTYL, RUSSIAN BLUE TYPE!!! OWNER DIED!!! Sunfish looks so sad and rightfully so!! Her owner died and instead of family members or friends caring for their loved one’s pets, Sunfish and her two housemates get dropped off at the city shelter! Sunfish deserves so much more than a death sentence. Please advocate for this sweet kitty tonight! Foster or adopt to save her life!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Sunfish looks tense, crouched position at the back of the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Sunfish remains in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Sunfish slowly leans away from the assessor’s hand, but once touched she began to hiss and growl to stop the interaction. Placement determination: Experience/no child Sunfish tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
